Maple Vanilla Bean Lemonade
Maple vanilla bean lemonade is an easy, delicious twist on classic lemonade
As the weather finally warms up around here, I am starting to crave warm weather comfort foods. The green leaves and gorgeous blooms give me great confidence that the cold weather is behind us. God is always right on time! Spring is truly amazing to experience. Growing up in Arizona, I had no idea what a show I was missing. I appreciate Spring not only for its transformative beauty but also the longer days and promise of warm weather. Lemonade is an important component to a perfect spring/summer season. We love lemonade around here, but not the tooth-achingly sweet, belly-ache-inducing kind. It has to be fresh or it simply is not worth drinking. This maple vanilla bean lemonade is simply delicious and couldn’t be any easier to make. There is no simple syrup to make, and no sugar or powder to dissolve. Only real ingredients that blend beautifully together.
Maple syrup is a great alternative to white sugar and actually has several health benefits. Don’t believe me check out what Dr. Axe has to say about it: https://draxe.com/maple-syrup-nutrition/ People pay big bucks these days for maple water and maple cider drinks in health food stores. Now you can harness its benefits at home.
Perfect warm weather treat
My boys are already planning their next lemonade stand to include my maple vanilla bean lemonade on the menu. They are so confident that everyone will love it. I am excited that they will literally be able to make this lemonade all by themselves! Of course, I will monitor my oldest as he wears his cutting gloves and slices the lemons. If you are in need of the perfect warm weather drink to provide for visitors, a holiday, a potluck or a special get together, make this. Obviously, this is the perfect front porch sitting drink too. This lemonade makes me want to get to work on our porch re-do pronto!
If you do not happen to have vanilla beans sitting around, don’t fret. A teaspoon of pure vanilla extract should do the trick. It won’t be speckled with the gorgeous vanilla beans, but the flavor will be there. Maple vanilla bean lemonade might just become a new fridge staple at your place ensuring that you are ready for playdates or company all summer long. It is a great alternative to Gatorade, soda, and fruit juice drinks. This lovely lemonade will make summertime even better.
